When I first met Laura & Tom we went right past all the small talk and directly to the GOOD stuff. There was no holding back on how excited they were about their wedding day. How they were stepping away from tradition, and how they wanted all their guests to feel on their wedding day. And my oh my was their day filled with EVERYTHING they imagined and told me on our first meet and greet. They explained that they wanted their entire day to feel like a family get together. A day to celebrate them but to also celebrate their immediate family that supports their relationship I knew they found the right photographer (wink wink). When planning a wedding I know there are SO MANY things to think about, book, invest in, choose, and to make everyone happy that sometimes I think the bottom line can be lost underneath all the planning. Not these two. They knew exactly how important this day was to them and they knew exactly what they wanted.
Starting the day off getting ready at their parents' houses, coming together in the backyard of the groom's dad's beautiful home (complete with the most amazing garden). This backyard was made for the perfect ceremony. With everyone gathered on their deck Laura & Tom came together in the garden for a short service filled with tears, toasts, and a facetime feed to Laura's brother in Italy.
Making our way to their grandparents retirement home they rolled up (like ballers!) in their stretched limo bus with all guests inside to greet them at the front entrance. Having some more toasts, good laughs, and family photos they were the talk throughout the entire home for many days to come I can only imagine! This was something SO important to them and they made sure I knew that this stop had to be made no matter what. I mean, how lucky am I to have THE BEST and most caring clients ever! Am I right?
Our last destination was the Oretta Restaurant off of King where they finished off the rest of their celebration together. This was the time we went for our sunset session! Running up and down King Street Toronto we had a blast stopping traffic as I made Laura & Tom jump in and out of intersections. Memories I hope they will always remember.
These photos truly don't serve this beautiful day justice but I hope you can feel the love and see the amazing people behind the photos. Thank you THANK YOU THANK YOU to Laura & Tom for choosing me to be there on their most special day. It was a complete honour.
